Last week, I attended my friend Sabrina’s Bachelorette party (you can view her blog here.)
I know Sabrina from college, we were both apart of the executive board for our universities chapter of PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America), traveled to DC and saw the “white house” together (inside joke), and of course maintained a friendship after college.
The festivities were set to take place at the Seminole Hardrock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood. We were all to meet for dinner and see where the night would take us. We started off with dinner at Tequila Ranch where we witnessed a proposal and 5 other bachelorette events ( I guess it’s wedding season, lol).
I ordered the Maraca Me Crazy Margarita which is a fusion of Patron silver, Patron Citronage orange liqueur, peach, strawberry and pineapple flavors with hint of sour mix. OMG that was heaven and after the consumption of that I was feeling pretty buzzed. We had a few cheers, played catch up and Sabrina told the story of how her husband proposed, which was super sweet!
Then the moment that we were all waiting for came! Entrees! I was starving and wanted to sample a bit of everything so I ordered the Tequila Ranch Sampler which came with 2 chicken empanadas, a cheese quesadilla, a skirt steak tostada and a poblano pepper stuffed with cheese (which I did not finish because I am slightly lactose intolerant and that was far too much cheese for my taste). It also came with three dipping sauces, adobo crema, chipotle mayo (which was FIRE (meaning awesome) BTW), and tomatillo salsa.
After we finished eating we headed over to Murphy’s Law to dance and drink a bit more. I ordered my usual, Henny & Cranberry and sipped on that for a while. Sabrina noticed that Dennis Rodman was at the bar so naturally being the inquisitive and bold Aries that we are we walked over to him, introduced ourselves and asked for a picture. A few drinks later we were ready to dance and we hit the dance floor.
Surprisingly enough, the live band that was playing asked if there were any bachelorettes in house and of course we put Sabrina on the spot! LOL. They pulled her and the other bachelorette on stage and they sang “Pour Some Sugar on Me” while they danced.
All in all I had a great time with Sabrina, and loved catching up with my college friends.
Sabrina, I wish you the absolute best in your marriage and even more success as you make your international move!
